ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a process-based multidisciplinary artist. Originally from the Midwest, I have been based in Cortez, Colorado, for the past three years. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture, and that background continues to shape my approach to materials, form, and surface.

While I enjoy exploring a variety of mediums, painting has remained the most accessible and consistent part of my practice.

My process begins with an intuitive underpainting, allowing forms and narratives to emerge through successive layers. As the work develops, I emphasize these discoveries while leaving space for ambiguity and personal interpretation. I value the conversations that arise when viewers find meanings and imagery different from my own.

In addition to my fine arts practice, I hold a degree in Outdoor Product Design and Development, where my passion for sustainability informs my approach to creating.

I enjoy repairing, altering, and upcycling worn gear, carrying the same curiosity for materials and transformation into both my artistic and design work.

Across disciplines, my work reflects an interest in process, reinvention, and the unexpected possibilities that emerge through careful observation.
